Evaluation Pattern

The pattern of evaluation used for the M.B.A. programme will consists of the following three components.

(A)  Continuous Assessment
This will be done through coursewise assignments given to students. Each course will have 4 assignments. Student will be expected to complete all assignments, which carries 20 marks each. The marks obtained by the students for all the assignments of each courser will be converted into a score out of 20.

Assignments submission for each course must be completed by the stipulated dates in an academic year as communicated by the university.

(B) End Examination
The end examination for each course will consists of 100 marks, with a duration of 3 hours. Each end examination question paper will generally consist of 2 sections : 60 marks for section I and 40 marks for section II. Questions for section I will be mainly based on theoretical concepts or ideas whereas questions for section II will generally be based on application of concepts or ideas, possibly through case studies , wherever applicable. No general options among questions will be given ; rather, questions will be given interanal options. The marks obtained out of 100 for each course will be converted to a score out of 80.

The marks for a continuous assessment component (out of 20) and the end examination (out of 80) will be combined for each course to get the total marks for the concerned course (out of 100)

(C) Project Work
Assessment of the project work will be done after submission of the project report. Project works carrying 500 marks will be done under the guidance of a project supervisor. A Project report may be in the form of a comprehensive case study., inter- organizational study or field work. Detailed instruction regarding submission and assessment of project will be provided by the university through the respective study centers, in due course. Project assessed as unsatisfactory will have to be re-submitted after incorporating the modifications as specified by the university and after payment of the requisite evaluation fees for assessment of the modified project report. In exceptional cases, a student may be allowed to change the topic of his project under the discretionary authority of the university.
