Examination System

The examination system for this programme is designed to maintain quality standards. Repeater students will nedd to pay the Examination fees depending on the numbers of courses he/she wishes to appear. Students may not be allowed to appear in the End Examination without a Identity card.

1. Theory Courses

The content of the programme is divided into a number of theory and practical courses. The theory courses are of 4 CP each. Each courswe has its own type of question paper set as mentioned in the syllabus. The duration of the end examination for 4 CP course shall be of 180 minutes. The total 100 marks will be distributed as follows:

  • Internal / Continuous Assessment : 20 marks
  • End Examination :   80 marks
The end examination shall be of 100 marks will be converted to 80 marks.
  1. Continuous Assessment
    This will be done through P.A. Tests at the study Center. The center shall conduct 4 such tests for each course, which shall carry 20 marks each. The marks obtained by the students for all the P.A. tests of each course will be converted to a score out of 20.

  2. Practical Courses
    The practical journal is a compulsory part of the evaluation , failing which the student will not be allowed to appears in the examination . There will be continuous assessment of practical performed. The theory courses are of 2 CP. The practical courses are of 50 marks. There will be 25 marks for continues assessment and 25 marks for Practical and examinations.  

  3. Project
    The students are expected to choose a project topic under the guidance of the teaching staff at the study center. Three copies of the reports are to be submitted to the study center. The project is of 150 marks of which 75 marks are for seminar presentation and 75 marks for project submission ( CA).

  4. Marks Reporting
    Performance of the student will be reported in the marksheet every year and for the course for which he appears as a repeater.

  5. Standards of Passing
    A student must get at least 40% marks in each passing head of the examination scheme of each course. A student must pass all the courses at all years of the programme, to obtain the certification by the university.

  6. Frequency of Examinations
    The End Examination will be conducted end of an academic year.

  7. Report of Examination Result
    Student can improve his / her previous grades obtained in a course at any year by reappearing the end examination. Only the best of the past Examination performance of a student in any courses will be reported in the grade – cum –mark sheet.

  8. For repeater Students
    Student may improve his examination for a give course, during subsequent semesters. By paying separate examination fees. But no grade improvement shall be allowed after the award of a certificate or the diploma. Hence student should consider improvements in grades before applying for the convocation.
